Lying about age in an online profile

Online dating websites have made it really easy for anyone to lie about everything imaginable including their age, so how can you truly tell if you are speaking with someone who isn’t lying to you. It could be quite frustrating meeting someone and find out that they are actually ten years older or younger then they’ve led on for the entire time you’ve chatted online.

No one wants to find out that the person they’ve let themselves get interested in has been telling you that they are a completely different age then what they are. This could make your online dating experience a bad one.  Also, you can check with your online dating site to see just reputable they are. And it’s always good be be informed and be sure to read up on what others say like this eHarmony review.

Even though age shouldn’t matter, it does matter if you are going to be truthful about it or not. When you encounter someone that hasn’t been truthful about their age you are already being betrayed by that person, which can be quite frustrating and place a problem with the whole trusting situation between you two.

In all honesty when someone has to lie about their age it usually means they are ashamed of their age and are hiding many other things. When you first interact with someone though it can be difficult knowing if their age is correct or not, but you will learn as time goes on. Age can be a big factor for some people, but others may not care one little bit so if you are going to lie about your age, please make sure you do it from beginning to end of the relationship.

After you meet someone that you’ve met online you will quickly learn if their age is truthful or not. Most people tend to slip up when they are holding such a simple lie and the other party will know. If they do not fess up to their lie and continue trying to hide it you may loose a lot of trust in your relationship, which could cause things to end, so just be truthful about your age.

Age could play a factor in your opportunities for a relationship, but if someone truly likes you and wants to get to know you the age will not have any factor of whether or not it will work. It is just a number, and who truly cares if there is a difference, you are both looking for a relationship and someone to care about and that’s all that should matter.
